Ultrasonic method of control is based on the input in the material testing ultrasound waves generated by ultrasonic probes and their reflection/diffraction by the imperfections in the material.

The method is mainly found application in control of non-destructive control of welded joints with a wall thickness greater than 8 mm, castings and forgings.

By means of the ultrasonic control method to detect volume and flat imperfections, such as cracks, lack of fusion, slag inclusions, gas pores, corrosion, lamination and non-metallic and non-metallic inclusions list.
